Indian food can be quite spicy. That is why Raita is often eaten with it, a yogurt dip that can be prepared in different ways. We got the recipe below from Gaby.

Preparation method
Step 1. Mortar the herbs
Heat a pan and roast the cumin, coriander seeds and black pepper until it is slightly dark.
Put these spices in a mortar and grind it.
Step 2. Prepare the raita
Finely dice the green pepper, tomato and cucumber.
Chop the red onion and the fresh mint.
Mix the yogurt with some salt to taste.
Add all cut ingredients to the yogurt
Sprinkle the yogurt with some chili powder and the seeds that you have crushed in the mortar.

500 gr of yogurt
0.5 tsp black pepper whole
1 tsp coriander seeds whole
1 tsp cumin seeds whole
1 green chili pepper
1 tsp fresh mint
1 red onion
1 tomato
1/4 cucumber
Salt (to taste)
Chili powder (to taste)
