A traditional Indian meal usually consists of several dishes that appear on the table at the same time. Those who eat together can then choose how much they eat and in what order. The meal usually consists of a meat or fish dish, or both, in combination with all kinds of separate vegetable dishes, bread or rice, a salad, yogurt and some chutneys and pickles. For a vegetarian meal, mainly vegetable dishes are made with lentils and / or other legumes. Gaby gave us a variety of Indian family recipes to fill the table with.

Tip: We ate frozen naan bread and paratha (a type of flatbread) from the freezer. These are much tastier and fresher than the supermarket naan. You can get both at an Oriental supermarket.
